The plant was built to support an annual output of 500,000 tons of sodium hypochlorite and 100,000 tons of AC blowing agent, requiring continuous chilled water supply for stable operation.

The process demanded a steady supply of 7°C chilled water for heat exchange, with return water rising to 12°C before recirculation. The cooling tower water operated at 32/40°C, and the total cooling load reached about 7,000kW. This scale made it a large industrial cooling application with strict performance standards.

Technical Requirements

In addition to cooling capacity, the client specified clear standards for refrigerants, operating pressures, heat exchange efficiency, and control integration. Refrigerants were limited to R-134a or R22, balancing performance with environmental compliance. Chilled water and cooling water inlet and outlet parameters were strictly defined. Furthermore, the system needed advanced load adjustment to handle production changes efficiently.

Parameters were carefully matched to the user’s process: chilled water at 7/12°C, cooling water at 32/40°C, with pressures controlled at 0.4MPaG/0.32MPaG. This precision ensured that all process cooling needs were fully met.

Since commissioning, the chiller system has maintained stable and efficient operation. The outlet water temperature remained precise, ensuring reliable process control for sodium hypochlorite and AC blowing agent production. Even during peak summer heat, the units sustained rated efficiency, showing strong adaptability and redundancy.
